News From the Adel Historical Committee
The Adel Historical Museum Committee is collecting funds to construct an addition to the museum to honor the contributions of Nile Kinnick and his grandfather Governor George W. Clarke.
It’s time to honor Nile, who was one of the greatest scholars and athletes of the 20th century. Nile Kinnick was a hero and role model on and off the field, whose story continues to inspire today! He lived in Adel through his junior year in high school.
His grandfather, George W. Clarke, spent most of his life as a resident of Adel. He served two terms as the Governor of Iowa.
Please help us preserve both legacies by donating to this program. $70,000 has already been raised, but we need your help to finish out the $120.000 goal!
