ADM Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Program
PURPOSE
The ADM High School Distinguished Alumni (DA) program is designed to recognize and honor alumni who have distinguished himself / herself by significant accomplishments since attending ADM High School.
CRITERIA
Recognition as a distinguished alumna shall be limited to individuals, living or deceased, who have attended or graduated from ADM High School and legacy schools for no fewer than 15 years previous to the nomination. Nominees will have made significant accomplishments in the following areas while maintaining high standards in personal integrity and character:
- Outstanding leadership in his / her field
- Service to his / her community through local, state, national or international organizations
CATEGORIES
Recognition categories include the following:
- Business and Industry
- Performing Arts and Entertainment (Theater, Television, Radio, Movies, etc.)
- Government / Public / Community Service
- Science and Technology
- Arts and Literature
- Professional Services (Medical / Legal, etc.)
- Education
- Other
For alums who have distinguished themselves in the military, please submit that name through the Hometown Heroes (HTH) page.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The Distinguished Alumni nominating committee consists of select members of the ADM Alumni board.
NOMINATING PROCESS
Nominations can be made by anyone and will be solicited through the ADM Alumni website, social media and Tiger Tracks Newsletter.
- Nominees will be automatically considered by the nominating committee for three succeeding nomination years in addition to the current year for the total of four years.
- In order to be considered by the nominating committee, a nomination form must be completed and include the following:
- Description of education, career and professional achievements.
- If applicable, list of volunteer and philanthropic activities.
- If applicable, recognition and awards received from local, state, national and international organizations since attending ADM and legacy high schools.
VOTING PROCESS
- Distinguished alumni shall be selected by a vote of the ADM Selection Committee.
- Nominee packet will be distributed prior to the scheduled selection committee meeting.
- Voting can be conducted in a similar fashion as the hall of fame voting.
RECOGNITION
Distinguished alumni will be recognized when selected. Announcements will appear in the Tiger Tracks newsletter, on our ADM Alumni website at the Distinguished Alumni page and through the TouchPro system at the school where all alumni content is available for students and visitors to view.
