Reunion News

The 2012 – 15th Annual ADM Alumni Association All Alumni Reunion will be held Friday, August 10, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the ADM School Commons – 804 Nile Kinnick Drive South – Adel, IA.

Dinner will be available from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and served by the ADM After Prom Committee as a fund raiser.

The ADM Athletic Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will be held Friday, August 10th at 7 p.m. during the ADM All Alumni Reunion.

2012 ADM Hall of Fame Inductees:

The 2012 inductees are Gaylord “Swede” Belgarde, Class of 1961; Dylan Davis, Class of 2003; Deidra Gilliland Robertson, Class of 1982 and Raymond Schmiedeskamp, Teacher & Coach.

The inductees will be honored at the ADM Alumni Association All School Reunion August 10, 2012 in the 8-9 Commons, with the formal ceremony that evening at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.  Please make plans now to attend.

Also on Friday, August 10, 2012 the ADM Alumni Association will host the 10th Annual ADM Alumni Golf Tournament.

If you are attending a class reunion over Sweetcorn weekend please register early for the golf tournament as it fills up quickly.

Class Reunions Scheduled for 2012:

The following classes have contacted us regarding their 2012 reunion plans:

Class of 1947 - May get together during Sweetcorn Days in August.  Anyone interested in helping to plan, please contact Joanne Mullins Lienemann at 993-3469, or at joanddon@prairieinet.net.

Class of 1957- Plans to celebrate their 55th class reunion on August 10 and 11, 2012. They are planning to have a couple of tables at the All-Alumni Reunion at the high school on Friday evening. On Saturday evening, there will be a catered dinner for classmates and their spouses at the home of Lee and Kay Struble, 431 N. 9th Street, in Adel. Class of 1962- Is planning a reunion for both Friday and Saturday nights of Sweet Corn Days, August 10th & 11th.  They will be in the parade also. Contact Bonnie McElroy at brmcelroy@mchsi.com  for more details.

Class of 1972 – Plans are to attend the All-Class Reunion on Friday, Aug. 10th at the ADM High School.  On Saturday, we will be in the parade in the a.m.  Our reunion will be held Saturday, August 11th from 5-9 p.m. at the Homecare Services building at 101 North 9th Street.  Please contact Becky Peters McChurch at Mcchurch4@aol.com, Barb Hackney Wicks at wix4hawks@aol.com or Jeff Horn at thehorns1@juno.com for more details.

Class of 1977 – The Class of 1977 is planning to have the reunion Friday nite, August 10th at Dennis and Tawnia Olson’s house outside. Please contact Dennis and Tawnia Olson at tawnbear@yahoo.com for more information.  Additional plans will follow.

Class of 1982 – Will be at River Valley Golf Course on Friday, August 10th beginning at 6 p.m. with a cash bar.  At 6:30 p.m. appetizers will be served and at 7:30 dinner buffet will start.  There will be a program following dinner.  On Saturday, August 11th the class will participate in the Sweet Corn parade and will follow that with a picnic lunch.  For more information please contact Connie Grandia Landhuis at landhuis1@msn.com or May Loraine Dehaan at maydehaan@msn.com.

Class of 1987 - Is having a 25th class reunion which will be held at Hilcrest Country Club on the Friday night of Sweet Corn Festival weekend.  For more information please contact Scott Tryon at scott.tryon@adp.com.

Class of 1992- The class of 1992 has reserved Penoach Winery (on Hwy 169 north of Adel) for Friday August 10th.  Plans are being firmed up. Contact Ryan Forret at rkforret23@msn.com with any questions..
